#1 Who can do Online Lessons?

I've had successful lessons with students of all ages ranging from older adults to children as young as 4 years old (with the help of an adult). Students may start lessons online even if they have not previously been to in-person lessons in our studio.

#2 What Instruments do you Teach?

I offer private lessons in piano, ukulele, recorder, and singing. I have used my skills as a music instructor to help students to learn about all of these instruments for many years.

#3 How Long have you been Teaching?

I have been teaching Music in a variety of settings for over 23 years. This is my first year teaching music online and I am loving all of the amazing things that I can do with technology!

#4 What Tech Do I need to Take Lessons?

You can get started taking online lessons with just a smart phone, tablet, or laptop - and your instrument of course! You will need to install the Zoom app, and check your email or text messages for a link to your lesson appointment.

#5 Are Lessons Pre-Recorded?

My typical lessons are not recorded at all! I offer the classic 1-on-1 Private Lesson experience from the comfort of your own home. Live lessons mean that I can answer any questions that may come up as soon as possible, and speed up or slow down in order to deliver a customized music experience just for you!

#6 When Do Lessons Happen?

Each of my online students is enrolled in a certain weekly time slot. Your lesson appointment will happen at the same time each week

--- for example: Mondays from 6:00 to 6:30 pm.

All appointment times are based on the Pacific Time Zone. If for any reason you are unable to attend your usual time, you may use our online scheduler to request a make-up lesson time.

#8 Is it Safe to take Lessons Online?

I take the privacy and safety of my students very seriously. The video meeting software that I use has a number of safety features that offer extra protection to my students while they are in lessons with me. I have educated myself in order to offer the safest settings possible. Please contact me if you wish to discuss safety features in greater detail.
